Reaching the World for Christ, One Disciple at a Time

When Darongpon Church was founded in 2012, the pastor began planting even more house churches to create a larger network of believers in the area. But his work wasn’t always going to be easy.

Partnership between Christian ministries is such an important part of spreading the Gospel. Miracles can happen when leaders put their complete trust in the Lord. When another ministry came to the area and began to pull members away from Darongpon house churches, the pastor was devastated because he had worked so hard to establish them. But this situation helped the pastor create a new strategy to bring people to Jesus: he established Darongpon Village of Hope. This facility is a large, multi-faceted Christian center housing a church, orphanage, and primary school. It ministers to parents and the local community, assuring them that Christian education will develop their children’s character with the seed of the Gospel. Plus, the school holds summer camps to teach children about Jesus, supplement their English skills, and develop knowledge in other interesting subjects. The school is also used to hold gatherings for church-related activities, such as Christmas plays, or as a training center for pastors if needed. What a blessing it is to see one facility bring so much transformation to the community.

Sometimes it can be hard to obey (just think of Jonah)! But remember that God has an incredible plan in store for you, it just requires trust and faith.
