Stories of Hope
Proof that generosity has no age limit—and impact has no borders
Eight-year-old Daisy never imagined that the small acts of generosity she practiced at home would one day help build a church across the world. But this summer, armed with a determined spirit and a heart devoted to Jesus, Daisy set a goal entirely her own: to earn and give $35 to support church development through ICM.
It began simply. Whenever chores needed doing around the house, Daisy volunteered. When her siblings wanted to run a lemonade stand, she eagerly joined. And each time she earned a few dollars, she quietly, faithfully placed 10% into her piggy bank—money she intended not to spend, but to give. She never needed reminders, encouragement, or praise. Daisy had a goal, and she was determined to meet it.
By the end of the summer, she did.

"Inspired by her example, her partens and their close friends decided to fund the entire church alongside her."
When Daisy finally gave her gift to ICM, Ross and his wife Kacy say the look of joy on her face is something they will never forget. It wasn’t pride; it was delight. A pure and simple happiness that comes from giving wholeheartedly.
What Daisy didn’t know was that her $35 would become the very first step toward a new church in Togo, Africa. When Ross and Kacy learned where Daisy’s gift was designated, they shared her story with family friends—who were just as moved by Daisy’s faith and generosity. Together, the group sensed God inviting them to join Daisy in her mission. Inspired by her example, her parents and their close friends decided to fund the entire church alongside her.
And because of Daisy’s heart, that church is no longer just a dream. It has now been fully built and was dedicated on December 6, 2025—a gathering place where believers in Togo can worship, grow, and reach their community for Christ.
A new congregation in Africa now has a permanent church home because an eight-year-old girl in Florida listened to Jesus, gave joyfully, and inspired others to do the same. Daisy’s story reminds us that generosity isn’t measured by age or amount, but by the heart behind the gift—and that one child’s faith can spark something far bigger than anyone imagined.
