Celebrating 40 Years of Dedication

As ICM celebrates 40 years of ministry, we also celebrate two individuals whose faithfulness spans nearly every chapter of the journey. From the earliest days of the ministry to the global movement of more than 14,000 churches today, Burt Reed and Jan Stringer have helped turn vision into reality. 

Burt met ICM’s Founder Dois Rosser through Trans World Radio and a lifelong friendship was born. When ICM started, Dois knew he needed someone to travel on the ministry’s behalf, and Burt was at the top of his list.  

Burt first carried ICM’s mission around the world, building relationships with indigenous ministry partners and helping establish the collaborative network that would become the foundation for thousands of churches in communities across the globe. Later, as a Development Officer, he cultivated relationships with faithful investors whose generosity fueled the ministry’s continued growth. 

While Burt traveled the world building relationships on ICM’s behalf, Jan was back home working at Dois’s right hand, helping build the organization that made the mission possible. Having worked alongside Dois before ICM began, she brought trusted leadership and operational expertise to the young ministry. For four decades, she faithfully guided finance, administration, and operations, ensuring the ministry could steward its resources well as it expanded around the world. 

Though their work often looked different, their contributions were deeply connected, creating the relationships, systems, and trust that allowed God’s work to flourish through local church leaders worldwide. 

As they begin retirement, we celebrate not only their remarkable 40 years of service, but also the legacy they leave behind—a stronger ministry, thousands of transformed communities, and countless lives impacted by the Gospel. 

Burt and Jan, thank you for forty years of faithful service and for helping build a legacy that will continue far beyond your years at ICM.
