Why BEYOND
For forty years, God has worked powerfully through ICM, building churches, forming disciples, and transforming communities around the world. This anniversary is a moment to pause with gratitude, to honor every prayer prayed and every life changed, and to recognize the faithfulness that has carried the mission forward
The theme BEYOND reflects our posture for this season. It is rooted in what God has already done and filled with expectation for what He will do next. Scripture reminds us that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. As we mark forty years, we look beyond what we can see, beyond what we can measure, and beyond what we could accomplish on our own, trusting God to continue His work in ways only He can. Join us as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and step forward together into what God will do beyond what we could ask or imagine.
BEYOND a Moment
The 40th Anniversary of ICM will be celebrated throughout the year with a series of regional gatherings, storytelling initiatives, opportunities to engage more deeply with the mission and a cornerstone Anniversary Weekend Celebration at the ICM Headquarters. These moments will honor the legacy of the past while inviting participation in what God is doing now and preparing for what lies ahead.
A weekend of worship, fellowship, festivities, and a great commissioning.

The heart of the anniversary year will be a special weekend celebration bringing together partners, supporters, and friends from around the world for a rich and meaningful time of celebration, worship, and vision.
The weekend will feature a signature Anniversary Gala, a Commissioning Church Service, and a large, open-house experience designed to welcome guests into ICM’s story, impact, and future.
Alongside these anchor moments, the weekend will include opportunities to connect with partners, hear global stories of transformation, and look ahead together to what God is preparing next.
Each gathering is being thoughtfully designed to honor forty years of faithfulness while inviting participation in what lies beyond.

We invite guests to extend their visit and explore the region during their time with us.
ICM is located directly beside Virginia’s Historic Triangle, which will be marking the 250th Anniversary of the United States during this season. Guests may wish to explore historic sites, museums, and special commemorations throughout the area.

The region is also home to six nearby universities, including Regent University, and Liberty University is just 3 hours away. If your family is in this season of life, it’s an excellent natural opportunity for families to combine the anniversary weekend with college visits locally or across the state of Virginia and in the Washington, D.C. area.
