A House Set Apart

ICM

Church Building

Celebrating a long-awaited church dedication in the mountains of Nepal

High in the mountains of western Nepal, among the Dura, Ghale, and Magar tribal communities, a joyful celebration recently took place nearly 22,910 feet above sea level.

For many years, believers in this remote region longed for a place they could truly call their own—a space to gather, worship, and grow in their faith. That longing has now been fulfilled.

The dedication of their new church building was marked by both celebration and reverence. Men, women, and young people came dressed in colorful traditional clothing and cultural jewelry, reflecting the rich heritage of their communities. Many traveled long distances across difficult terrain to be present, making the moment even more meaningful.

Their joy was unmistakable.

After 18 years of faithfully sustaining their congregation, this church now has a permanent home. The pastor reflected on the journey with deep gratitude, sharing how the congregation worked tirelessly to see this day come. When they learned support would be provided, many gave their time and energy, stepping away from their daily responsibilities to help construct the building with their own hands.

“As we have dedicated our life to Him and dedicated this place of worship as a house of prayer to Him, we will pray and do fellowship to God from this comfortable place that the Lord has provided.”

Today, that same community gathers inside those walls—not just as builders, but as worshipers.

More than a structure, this church stands as a testimony of God’s faithfulness in a place where the Gospel continues to spread, bringing hope, unity, and spiritual encouragement to these mountain communities. Supported by the generosity of ICM investors, churches like this become visible expressions of Christ’s presence. Places where His name is lifted up and His people are strengthened for generations to come.

“For now I have chosen and consecrated this house, that My name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will be there for all time.” — 2 Chronicles 7:16

“As we have dedicated our life to Him and dedicated this place of worship as a house of prayer to Him, we will pray and do fellowship to God from this comfortable place that the Lord has provided.”
