When unrest forced more than three hundred believers to flee their villages, they left behind homes, livelihoods, and the places where they once gathered to worship.

These were not just buildings lost—they were spiritual anchors for entire communities. Displaced by violence and uncertainty, these believers faced a season of scattering.

But God was not finished writing their story.

God’s Faithfulness in Hardship

Though their temporary shelters were often destroyed by heavy rains, the believers continued to gather under makeshift roofs to pray, sing, and encourage one another. They cried out to God for a permanent place to worship, trusting that He saw their situation.

In April 2023, their prayers were answered. A permanent church building was officially dedicated—a sanctuary and a symbol of God’s faithfulness. This new building has become far more than walls and a roof. It is a holy place for a scattered people, where faith is strengthened, hope is renewed, and the Gospel is boldly proclaimed.

A Story of Healing and Calling

The congregation is led by a faithful pastor whose own testimony is a powerful picture of redemption.

“Doctors told me I had only three months to live, and I was gripped by fear—not knowing what awaited me after death. One evening, a pastor came to pray for me. After his prayer, I felt a deep sense of peace, and the next day I believed God had healed me. I began reading the Bible, my faith grew, and I was completely healed—physically and spiritually. Overjoyed, I surrendered my life to Christ, studied theology, and have been serving as a pastor and evangelist ever since. God has been faithful.”

Today, this pastor and his family continue to shepherd the church, disciple new believers, and plant churches in surrounding communities.

Transformation in the Midst of Trials

Despite instability and persecution, believers in this community are seeing lives transformed. Families are being restored, emotional wounds are being healed, and many are coming to faith in Jesus.

“The challenges have not stopped His work—on the contrary, we’ve witnessed real transformation. God is not only carrying people through hardship, but He is giving them new hope and purpose. We praise Him for every soul that has come into the light of Christ.”

• For Peace: Pray for stability in this region. Ask the Lord to protect lives, watch over the families of believers, and bring light and hope to those who feel hopeless.

• For the Church: Pray for the pastor and his family as they continue to lead with courage. Ask God to strengthen them, guide their ministry, and use them to reach and restore many lives for His Kingdom.

God has gathered a once-scattered people and given them a sacred place to worship, grow, and share His love. May His grace continue to spread throughout every corner of this community.
