On September 6, with pandemic restrictions finally lifted in Thailand, new believers from 200 villages gathered in Chon Daen to receive baptism. One elderly woman entered the water on crutches. Another man, in a wheelchair. Many were accompanied by the friend who led them to Christ. The event was a celebration of God’s grace and provision for His people in Thailand.

IN PAKISTAN
In June, VKP distributed bags of food to families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of those families work as “bonded laborers” in Pakistan’s brick kilns. In other words, they are debt slaves. For these families, the food relief offered by VKP is a huge blessing. Free food means they don’t have to rely on their lenders for living expenses, which are taken from their wages.

The tiny country is home to the world’s largest Muslim population, and converts to Christianity often face shunning and persecution by their families. However, a young Indonesian woman named Pastor Balisa is helping to lead many people to Christ.
