In Sri Lanka, religion is an active part of daily life. Buddhism is the most practiced religion, but the different ethnic groups compromising the population also practice other traditions. Christianity was introduced by European colonists in the 16th century and most of the Christians are Catholic.
ICM considers it a great blessing to partner with Christian brothers and sisters in this country. The first church building projects began in 2007 and it will be exciting to see the long-term impact God works in these communities through them.
