Religious Outlook & the Work of ICM

Now is an incredibly opportune time to partner to build churches for the rapidly growing number of Quechuan Christians in Peru. After the Maoist Shining Path murdered Bible translator Pastor Justiniano Quicana for “imperialism” because he preached the gospel, Quechuans wanted to know more about the gospel that the pastor had preached.

Soon many became believers, first by the hundreds and then by the thousands, and the need for places of worship increased proportionately. Lacking resources, they could only build churches of mud which crumbled with rain and strong winds.

Several years ago, Miguel Quicana, son of the martyred pastor, began to pray for the Lord’s help in building new sanctuaries. Then, one day he and other Christian leaders heard about ICM. The rest of the story will be known in heaven.

TMBC is being implemented in church groups and being broadcast on 37 stations throughout Peru.
