Since late 1999, ICM has been working with two Church Growth Partners in Cambodia to build churches and church/orphanages. When ICM started in Cambodia, one partner had only one orphanage in a rented building. Now, that same partner has over 100 church/orphanages built or under construction, which care for about 4,000 orphans! Many of the children in these church/orphanages lost their parents during the civil war or to HIV/AIDS. They would likely have been trafficked into forced slavery or prostitution without the protection of the orphanages. The churches built thus far have planted over 1,500 “daughter” congregations, which are beginning to blanket this overwhelmingly Buddhist nation with the hope of the gospel. ICM’s goal is to build one church every 25 miles on average in Cambodia, and we thank you for partnering with us to achieve our goal in this land of great need!
