“It is the Father, living in me, who is doing His work.” John 14:10
It has often been said that “retirement” is not part of God’s plan for His people. That can certainly be said of my eighty-seven year old father, Dois Rosser founder of ICM. Over the past twenty years I’ve been able to watch my father step out in obedience to join God in the work that He has been doing around the world. Throughout these “retirement” years, I have seen God use my father and ICM in incredible ways!
ICM’s edition of “The God Who Hung on the Cross” tells how God can use ordinary people to build Christ’s Church in the most unexpected places. The book is filled with stories from around the world which witness to the movement of the Holy Spirit from the jungles of Southeast Asia to the African bush. But far more than just a travelogue, co-author Ellen Vaughan has said , “as I walked with Dois, I saw some secrets of the faith that compel this brother. I saw stories that God is writing for eternity in the lives of people around the world. I felt an urgency to pursue God’s surprising quests, however I could.”
Throughout his life, my father has truly felt that urgency. He has modeled the core value of “looking under rocks” of opportunity to see what God might unfold—those hidden treasures from the God of miracles. We hope that in reading “The God Who Hung on the Cross” you might find some hidden treasures as well.
