Donors Ralph and Tiffany Doudera discuss their experience on an ICM vision trip in Tanzania.

It’s been amazing- the transformation that is happening here as a result of the support with the churches being encouraged and I would heavily encourage anybody to go on an ICM trip…It’s very exciting. The spirit is so precious and so present and the people are becoming more and more equipped with every little bit that we do.
Hearing the testimony of the local pastors was very emotional- and very encouraging. You could sense the Lord on them, moving them, changing them, and making them the leaders they are to be to the people.
How important is it for them to have a church?
There is absolutely a need for ICM. Without a church, the people are going to be scattered. The people don’t feel unified. They need each other and to have each other they need to be able to gather together in a more uniform way. There houses don’t have much room, which leads to very small home fellowships. Having a church gives them the extra push they need and takes them to a whole new dimension of fellowship, worship, and reaching out to the community around them.

This has been an amazing experience. To see what a little bit of help can do- the potential here is amazing. To see the dedication and commitment the local pastors have to spread the gospel is amazing. The pastors seem somewhat discouraged as they are having a tough time here. I’m very committed to supporting them in different ways. Financially they are just so needy- a few dollars goes so far here.
It’s amazing that you can pay someone $40 a month here to be a pastor. Here are people who are ready to do the work for Christ, but need the support. ICM comes alongside and does a great job of forming a partnership with them. I encourage anyone who’s interested in seeing what’s really going on in the world to get on the ICM vision trip and see firsthand. It’s hard to hear it from someone else. You just gotta go- You’ll never forget it.
