Venid and Mi San Juan Church

The following info was reported about an ICM church in Colombia.

Venid and Mi San Juan is a beautiful church under construction in coastal Colombia. When the building started, the church had 200 plus in attendance but the congregation is now close to 300. They expect that it will get close to 350 after the dedication. The congregation is made of fishermen and farmers of plantain. The church is located in a town of about 23,000, most of who live in the immediate rural areas. Many people are refuges of the violent struggles between the guerillas and the paramilitaries. Every 20 to 30 km apart, army checkpoints have now been constructed though so guerilla activity has consequently died down in the area. The church’s prayers have been answered in this regard and now the church needs to finish painting the floors and the pulpit area.
