Why Location is Critical for a Church Building
Mi Buen Jesus – Monteria church has succeeded thanks to its strategic location for evangelism.
Mi Buen Jesus – Monteria church was built to take advantage of the lot, its surroundings, and the fact that a soccer field is across the street. In Colombia, soccer is enormously popular especially amongst youths. This location has thus proved to be critical as an outreach tool to non-believers who are playing on the adjacent soccer field. Soccer players often hear the music and noise from the church and are curious to see what all the commotion is about after playing soccer. The athletes then head over to the church and many have ended up becoming members and eventually strong Christians. The church was dedicated in June of 2008 and they have now an average attendance of 250 on regular Sunday services. This story shows that the location of a church building is vital for its growth and ICM's partners always recognize this key fact.
