The Michungwani Church has been waiting nearly 15 years for a church. This 115-member church is located on the northeastern coastal tip of Tanzania. More than 70% of the Tanzania population are Muslims or belong to indigenous beliefs outside the Christian faith. Due to poverty and disease, the life expectancy is about 45 years in Tanzania. The need to tell this suffering nation about the hope and eternal life found through Jesus Christ is great. ICM’s vision is to blanket this nation with 547 evangelical churches—one every 25 miles—over the next several years.
