For 25 years, ICM has embraced the God-given strategy of utilizing the Church of Jesus Christ to distribute His message of love and redemption. In 2010, God has shown Himself able to do abundantly more than we could imagine. In a year of economic uncertainty and challenge, we have been amazed at God’s faithfulness to provide the needed resources to go beyond where we ever thought we could be. Our Church-growth program in Africa has expanded into church orphanages, and ICM continues to innovate with the Hope Center initiative in Russia and Central Asia, which enables churches to minister to displaced women and children. Most importantly, the Word of God is reaching out to countless individuals through the Mini Bible College using the latest technology. Indeed, God continues to pour out His blessings abundantly!
Church Building
In 2010, we saw an amazing outpouring of God’s grace and provision, which enabled us to work on 300 new church projects! Through the multiplying effect of ICM’s strategy, these 300 churches have the potential to produce 1,500 or more daughter congregations! We have also been blessed to see:
- Our church-orphanage program expand in Asia and Africa.
- A strategic ministry training center established to impact all of western Africa.
- Additions made to the innovative cluster-complex program completed in India.
- The dramatic expansion of Church-growth capacity in Latin America.
This is only possible as God has enabled us to work closely with 149 indigenous ministry partners in 58 countries around the globe. To God be the glory for bringing this amazing increase!
Mini Bible College
Getting people into God’s Word and God’s Word into people is the passion of MBC’s author, Pastor Dick Woodward. In 2010, MBC touched the lives of an estimated 250,000 believers through more than 28,000 small groups around the globe. In addition, audio lessons are broadcast via radio in 14 major world languages, spoken by an estimated four billion people. Highlights of 2010 include continued work on new translations in Sora, Ukrainian and Moldovan and the continuation of a major initiative to create websites in 15 MBC languages, allowing Bible study materials to be accessed on the Internet by millions in their native tongue. In addition, work has begun on making MBC accessible through an interactive smartphone application. Now millions will be able to connect to God’s Word through their personal mobile device. Truly, our God is using creative means to get His Word into People!
Ministry Stewardship
In its first 25 years, ICM has established a proven track record of maximizing the use of donations, people and services.This effective use of well-leveraged assets has allowed ICM to maximize ministry effectiveness and realize increased return on investment. In addition, throughout 2010, one dollar was donated for every three dollars contributed by ICM’s donors through the Cornerstone Match. ICM is also blessed to have its overhead costs and ministry fundraising expenses covered by a private foundation.
