Last year was also a time of reassessing our focus in Latin America and developing a strategy to find new partners who would carry the vision of our ministry into their regions with boldness.
ICM is currently working in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the island nation of Haiti, which suffered the tragic affects a major earthquake in January 2010.
In our work in the region, we recognize that the needs in Latin America are tremendous. The destabilizing political landscape and the gap between rich and poor all have an effect on the growth of the gospel in Latin America.
Yet, while the needs are great, the opportunities are even greater. In 2010, ICM plans to double the number of partners, increase the effectiveness of existing partners and enter 6 new countries in Latin America.
We’re excited to continue to listen to God and watch how he works to meet these needs.
