President's Report

Economic clouds appeared early in 2008 and became a significant storm by year-end. The cacophony of presidential election years produced Distracted Attention Disorder in the donating public but our committed donor partners were faithful. Praise God for His people. The report reveals the stewardship of lower revenues with respectable performances. Bless the Lord for resources and His gifting of people.

The world economic turmoil, though hard on the present trajectory of ministry for the foreseeable future, also provides opportunity to explore improvements in ministry delivery, administration and strategic opportunities for ministry increase.

ICM’s ministry leadership transition and resources will influence the speed of the work.  But there is no question that there is continued opportunity in each of the initiatives pursued this year.

ICM’s ministry model is highly flexible for the future. It is predicated on sound organization and management principles and has served the work well.  It comprises:

  • A small, effective and efficient administrative core,
  • Facilitated by technology, and
  • Amplified by partnerships,

However, the scale of opportunity in the years just ahead requires that we apply the ministry model to a networked comprehensive delivery and administration approach. We remain vigilant for the Lord’s leading in these efforts.

A special gratitude for those of you who partnered with ICM in prayer and resources in 2008 and we would covet and appreciate your partnership in 2009.
